Tornos presents its vision for the future of bar turning with SwissDECO. SwissDECO provides a complete product range, with no fewer than 3 machines available in a diameter of 36 mm. All equipped with 3 independent tool systems, SwissDECO machines are designed to provide exceptional operating flexibility, while remaining extraordinarily user-friendly. The SwissDECO range packs in more than 100 years’ experience into a single machine. More than a range of machines, it is a genuine vision of the future of bar turning. The SwissDECO G, with its double platten, is equipped with nine linear axes. The second platten is equipped with a Z axis, which enables roughing/finishing operations, frontal operations and deep drilling, for example, as well as a differential mode work. The SwissDECO G comprises three independent tool systems, and is equipped with a double platten. It is possible to equip these with pre-settable modular devices and tool systems. Thanks to its configuration and the decision to use plattens, this solution enables extremely fast chip-to-chip times. Available as a 36 mm machine, the SwissDECO G has up to 38 tool positions, 27 of which can be rotating tools. The SwissDECO T is equipped with a 12-position turret, further enhancing the exceptional flexibility of the machine. Aimed at the most demanding machining operations and users, the 12 turret positions accommodate rotating tools. Each position can be equipped with up to three tools. Also available in a 36 mm diameter, the SwissDECO T has 57 tool positions, 36 of which can be equipped with rotating tools. With its internal high-pressure circuit for the coolant and its 36 mm spindle which can be equipped with a high-precision hydraulic brake, the SwissDECO T is designed to deliver outstanding results on even the most complex parts. The machine is available as an option with a quick-change tooling system on the turret, to further enhance its flexibility. The SwissDECO can also be equipped with a B axis on the turret, to transform the machine into a turning/milling solution giving users the ability to perform complex milling operations on a single machine. As an option, the machine can perform machining operations using 5 simultaneous axes. It is also possible, as on the T version, to adopt the quick-change tooling system.
